Tartini's house (slovene: Tartinijeva hiša) is the birthplace of a famous violinist from Piran, Giuseppe Tartini. The house is located on the Tartini Square in town of Piran.[1]
The building is one of the oldest on the square, first mentioned in 1384 as a gothic building Casa Pizagrua, it was later renovated in neoclassicistic style. In the most recent renovation taking place from 1985 to 1991 they found interesting wall paintings. The house is now the seat of Italian community in Slovenia, in use as a place for cultural projects and as a gallery and a museum. In the museum part you can also see his violin, ingraving of his dreams on a copper plate and Tartini's portret, among others.[2]
